NOTES: These video described effects of the war between the U.S. and the Japanese in Truk lagoon which is known as Chuuk lagoon today. Two hundred sixty five Japanese planes were destroyed and more than seventy five percent of the land installations were demolished. Sixty Japanese vessels of two hundred thousands tons of shipping sank to the bottom of the lagoon affecting many lives of fish and coral reefs, not including US vessels and planes. Mammals learned to live with destroyed ships and planes as well as the people on the island. Now the lagoon has been reserved for historic sites.
