The realities of war cause many World War II Survivors to say, "I have forgiven, but I will never forget," referring to the senseless brutality; beheadings, mass murders, rape and stabbings, torture, beatings and whippings of the young, the elderly and public executions of Chamorro people during the 32-month occupation of Guam by Japanese Imperial Forces. WWII Survivors understand that extreme cruelty is the by-product of war; but understanding something and experiencing it presents a different reality. Now 69 years after the war on Guam, this documentary highlights the deliberate and violent slaying of innocent people at Apotguan (Apurguan), Agana Springs, Fena, Tinta, Faha, Asinan, Manenggon and Chagui'an, so that none who lost their lives at these Massacre Sites would be forgotten. This documentary is dedicated to the memory of Chamorro men, women and children who were victims of massacres during the Japanese Occupation of Guam, from December 10, 1941 to July 21, 1944. |
