This study is about Governor Ricardo Bordallo's prosecution trial on seventeen federal counts of corruption and on how Guam's news media constructed reports on Governor Bordallo's trial to the advantage or detriment of power blocs in Guam and/or the United States, i.e., hegemony, the theory that explains the news media practices on Guam. The study concludes, among other things, that Guam's political system is corrupt, the people are immoral and the rich businesspeople have mixed themselves into the political system and caused corruption. |
