NOTES: Resource sharing in the Pacific Islands region has seen some significant development in the past few years stemming from the widespread used of the Internet, electronic document delivery and emerging local resources sharing networks. This paper will discuss local networks of people and technology and new innovations in document delivery. These developments have allowed many resource poor libraries to collectively pool their resources and provide access to their collective wealth of materials. Cooperative programs to provide cost-free access to international network and resources outside the Pacific Islands, as well as electronic document delivery projects within the Pacific Islands, that have dramatically reduced time, distance and expense will also be discussed.
