One day in the autumn of 1981, half of the pagoda of the Famen Temple in Shanxi Province, China collapsed in a rainstorm. This sudden disaster however, helped people reveal a secret hidden for 1,000 years. During the excavation work, a Buddhist relic of Sakyamuni buried here according to the historical records and tales, as well as numerous treasures from old ancient dynasties unearthed later have shaken the world with such a huge impact that goes beyond people's imagination. These sacred Buddhist relics, hidden for more than 1,000 years, together with those precious treasures from the imperial families still remain unsolved riddles till today for further exploration. |
