Dance is one art form that epitomizes the life of the Tibetan people, as well as Tibet's cultural vibrancy over the past 5,000 years. With its unique style and elegant forms, Tibetan dance is a jewel of Chinese culture as well as of all humanity. Over several thousands of years, the industrious and intelligent Tibetan people have created traditional songs and dances as well as religious dances filled with a mystical feel, now known all over the world. With the passage of time, as the Tibetans surmounted natural barriers and challengers, their dance style has always exhibited the unique grace and poise of the people of the snowy region. Today, Tibetans, gifts for music and dance have turned the "roof of the world" into a kingdom of melody and movement. |
