Festive dances at Mwan village on Moen, Chuuk were performed in celebration of the inauguration of the first governor elected in a popular election. The wide range of dance styles exhibits the influence that many countries and islands have had on Chuukese culture, including Spain, Germany, Japan, the United States, Samoa, and Pohnpei. |
