THE INDUSTRIAL WORLD (30:00) A consumer revolution epitomized the new age, fueled by coal, public transportation and new city services like sidewalks and sewers. Great technical achievements such as the metal and glass Crystal Palace and the Gare St. Lazare, Paris's famous train station, captured the public imagination.
