In 1994 the ICPD was held in Cairo. An ambitious Programme of Action was held in Cairo. An ambitious programme of Action was developed at that conference which was adopted by countries throughout the world, including the Pacific. Since then, UNFPA has worked closely with Pacific Island governments to understand and work towards reaching each population and development goals. This video highlights the progress that countries in the region have made since ICPD and how these may help Pacific Island countries achieve universal access to quality reproductive health services and balances between population, social and economic developments. |
