This program looks at identical twins separated at birth and finds some fascinating answers - that some 10 to 15% of children are born with a slight tendency to be very outgoing or very apprehensive; that there may be a chemical predisposition to seeking danger or high risk. But biology is not everything: a supportive environment helps to produce well- adjusted adults while a hostile home can produce the contrary. Says Phil Donahue: " Nature is what we got. Nurture is what we decide to have. No other animal has that choice." |
