Lao Sun and Xiao Liu are two ordinary Chinese living respectively in Beijing and Ningxia Autonomous Region. What is extraordinary about them is that Lao Sun practices the violin at the intervals when peddling newspapers while Xiao Liu engages in producing an aircraft and eventually succeeds in flying it high up in the blue sky with the help of his family members. The documentary depicts the busy yet accomplished life as well as the spiritual pursuit of the ordinary Chinese people. |
