Each of the 56 nationalities in China has its own traditional sports. Wrestling, horse racing, archery, sheep snatching and hockey are the favorite sports of those herdsmen in northwest China while dragon boat racing, throwing and bamboo jumping matches are often played in the South. In order to improve and promote the sports exchange of the nationalities, a nation-wide sport meets in held once in several years in China. The film describes the exciting matches and close friendships between nationalities when the meet was held both in Lhasa and Beijing. |
