Dropping 1,000 feet down an underwater wall off Vancouver, British Columbis, the New Explorers take viewers on a walk with sharks. We ride inside the research submarine Aqaurius as divers brave the waters in search of six-gill, deep-water sharks. Jaws and other films have created a climate of fear that has contributed to the decimation of shark populations. Scientists lead viewers through the scientific process to establish the problem, hypothesize a cause, gather data, and offer a solution. |
