Carl Sagan examines black holes, earth's "last perfect day," and how the cosmic rays of distant exploding stars produce mutations in the beings of earth. In the deepest sense, life on earth is connected with the evolution of the Cosmos. Episode 10: Will the universe continue to expand forever, or someday collapse upon itself? Carl Sagan shows how in this century humans discovered the expansion of the Universe. He explores the cosmology of India and worlds of two and four dimensions, and disappears down a black hole.
